Hello and Welcome
I am Larraine Cox, an experienced counsellor offering you a flexible, supportive, confidential service via face-to-face, telephone, mobile (within 10 miles of WA7) and online counselling options.
I also offer Single Session Therapy and Rewind Trauma Theraapy.
I am a supervisor for one to one and group sessions.
I work with individuals, couples, young people, Secondary Schools, EAPs and businesses.
I work with many issues and understand asking for help can be very difficult, especially when dealing with strong emotions such as jealousy, relationship issues, anger, stress, anxiety, panic and / or depression, to name but a few.
I understand that at times life can feel overwhelming; worrying about an unresolved past or current relationship; bullying at home, at school or at work. I understand there are often struggles with the challenges of being in, or living with, a step parent, or blended family and that life changes can feel too challenging with all the conflicting emotions around divorce, long term illness, redundancy and / or retirement - you may not believe this right now but, talking therapies really can help.
I am happy to work with anger issues, any kind of bereavement or loss, including pet bereavement, depression, cancer, age, divorce, affairs, betrayal, anxiety, specific and generalised anxiety, sexual and gender diversity, cross-dressing, addictions, abuse - sexual abuse, domestic abuse and abusive behaviours, stress, coming out, self harming and if you are having suicidal thoughts - you really can talk to me.
Relationship counselling doesn't depend on you being married, living together, same sex, opposite sex, transgender, cisgender or transsexual - if you are in any kind of relationship that has problems - this service is for you.
If you have suffered a loss or bereavement from miscarriage, suicide, cancer, age, are having issues over being straight or LGBTQ+ or any of the other myriad reasons, you will be offered a caring and compassionate counselling session and whatever you bring to the session will be treated with confidence and respect (within safeguarding / confidentiality guidelines).
Successful counselling often works best when there is chemistry / trust between client and counsellor so, in the first face to face or telephone session, you will be asked, after 20 minutes, if you wish to continue. If you do not, session ends and no charge or obligation. Also at our first session there will be a brief discussion on confidentiality and the counselling agreement we will be working within.
*Please Note my dedicated counselling room is up one flight of stairs. If mobility is an issue please mention this and an alternative, ground floor venue will be arranged, thank you
